Tombayu Amadeo Hidayat, ST.
Tombayu Amadeo Hidayat (Tom) is currently a MSc Student in Geo-information Science, Wageningen University and Research, the Netherlands. He finished his bachelor study from Department of Geodesy and Geomatics Engineering, Institut Teknologi Bandung in 2016. He serves as a research associate in Center for Remote Sensing (CRS-ITB), and later he moved to the Netherlands to pursue his master degree.
His research interest encompass remote sensing and Geographic Information Science (GIS), particularly in the environmental and urban aspects. During his bachelor study, he works in a thesis entitled “Reconstruction of Volcanic Morphology using DEM and SAR Data to Estimate Bulk Volume of the Lost Materials”, in which he combines remote sensing methods and spatial analysis to conduct the research.
He has previously attended several conferences both local and international, such as the Esri User Conference 2016 in San Diego, CA, USA, in which he attended as a delegate from Indonesia (Indonesian Esri Young Scholar). He also presented several oral presentations in the International Workshop of Geoscience and Remote Sensing 2016 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and PIT ISOI 2016, Surabaya. His informal education includes a 1-week GNSS summer school in Tokyo University of Marine Science and Technology, Japan.
