A Message from the Head of CRS-ITB
Happy New Year 2018, hopefully this year, we are all given blessings and success in working and working. This year CRS has several important agendas related to research, community service and the implementation of seminars and workshops both national and international. Some of these are related to the eruption of the Agung mountains from the perspective of thermal analysis and deformation using optical and radar data. Change the land around the mountains and design some scenarios in case of the same eruption as in 1963 ago. Mangrove is also a topic of research this year in collaboration with Airlangga University (UNAIR), Bogor Agricultural University (IPB) and Gajah Mada University (UGM). The continuation of banana research and banana demplot generation will also be done in Anturan village, Bali. The Citarum issue is also getting important this year. For that reason, CRS plans to contribute in participatory mapping at several locations in the Citarum basin. The implementation of an international seminar related to bananas will also be held in Bali in September 2018. The seminar will be attended by speakers from Indonesia as host, Japan, Philippines, Australia and USA. Hopefully all the plans and agenda of 2018 can be well prepared and well implemented as well. Happy work and work!
