Dr. Riantini Virtriana

Dr Riantini Virtriana is currently a lecturer and a researcher in Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Science, Department of Geodesy and Geomatics Engineering, Institute of Technology, Bandung (ITB). She received the B.Eng, M.Sc., and Ph.D. degrees from Institute of Technology, Bandung, Indonesia, in 2004, 2007, and 2016, respectively. Most of her works are focussed on understanding land use/land cover change and BIG data. Her research has developed improved spatial prediction of lu/lc change using combination of binary logistic regression model and markov chain based on cellular automaton. During the last five years (2012 – now), she has been active as an author in some national and international conferences and scientific journal articles related to land use/land cover change. She has also supervised a significant number of undergraduate and master’s students in the fields of land use and land cover change prediction. In addition, she already has 10 years of experience as a Geographic Information System (GIS) instructor in national and international training/workshops.
