Dr. Karlia Meitha
Meitha has recently finished her PhD at School of Biological Sciences – The University of Western Australia, and prior to that she studied biology and biotechnology at School of Life Sciences and Technology – Institut Teknologi Bandung. Her main motivation to participate in plant-based research is to increase the quality of plants, as the main producer of food, to improve food security for the continuously expanding global population. She is competent in plant physiology and biotechnology experiments, especially in analysing plant responses towards abiotic stresses and environmental cues. She is now also part of Biogeography and Biodiversity Innovation Group (BIG), contributing in the collection and analysis data of Indonesia biodiversity.
