Dr. Fenny Dwivany
Fenny Dwivany earned her PhD in Biology from The University of Melbourne in 2003. She is an Associate Professor at The School of Life Sciences and Technology (SITH) – Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB). Her research interest in banana has made her group called as the “Banana Group” (www.thebananagroup.org). The group’s research projects focused on big data using multi-omics approach that correlate with biodiversity, disease and fruit ripening as well as advanced nanomaterial as bio-fungicide and edible coating to delay fruit ripening. Her group also involved in Space Seeds for Asian Future program which was the first Indonesia space biology experiment. Dwivany’s prior accolades include the International Unesco-L’Oreal for Women in Science Fellowship (2007), Australia Endeavour Research Award (2010), Schlumberger Award in Faculty for the Future (2011), The Science and Technology Award (2012) from the Indonesian government and Karya Inovasi (2015) from Institut Teknology Bandung.
